You could make an argument he did in that Brook was over protective of the right eye that left was left more vulnerable to injury. I give Spence full credit for the win but you can make an argument.

Looks like Brooks is to delicate to be successful in boxing at this level. He needs to find a safer sport to protect those eyes. Quitting in the last two fights because he got hit in his eye should be a wake up call for him. Maybe try golf.

Ha! Wow, you casuals are so hilarious sometimes. The man's in charge of his career, which BTW isn't over til he says it is. My guess is he takes some months away to recup from surgery, then returns at jr middleweight to test the waters. He's, what, 31? So IOW probably needed to move up before now. But anyway, if he gets the same surgery on this eye, there's really no reason to be concerned. Sports related orthopedics has made super human advances in recent years.

I feel bad for Brook he stepped up in competition and it didn't end well. Hopefully he bounces back.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think the GGG fight was worth the money he got. His career may be done.

Aside from Margarito, there was Victor Oritz who suffered a broken jaw. There were probably more, but Ortiz was clearly no longer in his element after the Lopez fight. It was clear he was protecting his jaw in the Collazo fight. Same thing in the Berto fight. So it doesn't make sense for these people to resume their career. It's bad for their health and safety, it's bad for the sport.

kell Brook took a hard beating but lost with honor intact

Kell Brook lost like a true champion to a better fighter and no shame in that. Great fight between two great fighters. All England has to be proud of Kell Brook.

Actually though large hands are not an advantage of any kind as it means that their more likely to break than someone with smaller hands, though I do agree that spences fists & knuckles looked like he has bigger knuckles & makes a stronger tighter fist which is an advantage. I agree though hes heavy handed af.

I'm more into blaming why the fight didn't happen when it mattered most -- right after the Algieri and Bizier fights. Mandos have to be set in stone with these ****** IBF/WBX/etc bodies.

    1) He doesn't absorb punishment around his eyes well.

    2) Spence is a very heavy handed guy as GGG.

Either way I'm hyped with Spence, to me he's the boggeyman of the 147, I don't see anyone at 147 beating him.

Crawford moving up would be a mega fight, or Spence moving up to 154 could be very interesting.

    Spence is indeed the truth
