  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Future of British Boxing is in Safe Hands

Floyd Mayweather jnr describes Gervonta Davis as the future of boxing and he might just be right in that but the future of British boxing also happens to be in safe and devastatingly quick hands. Anthony Yarde and Daniel Dubois are the big future of the game in this country and there were two other fighters in the Copper Box audience on Saturday Zelfa Barrett and Lyon Woodstock who are also going to thrill fight fans as their careers progress further.

Yarde is not that big of a talent. He has power but that only takes you so far. Moreover, the light heavyweight division is really strong right now.

Dubois and Barrett on the other hand I'm cautiously optimistic for

I am a fan of yarde and he has a lot of potential but I do agree that 175 is stacked right now. We will have some good fights to look forward to in the next few years once someone gets rid of Stevenson.

What is frank on about, they need to beat someone with a pulse first not the zombies he's put in front of them so far. Over on the other side where the real British talent is Ohara Davies fights Josh Kelly. Now that's two top British prospects in a proper fight. Take notes Warren.

Unfortunately, FW has been the worst thing that has ever happened to British boxing! His dealing's with his bedfellows @ the "WBO" is legendary. I feel so sad that the majority of his fighters may win a WBO inter wotsit title, but never a genuine Lonsdale, EBU or Commonwealth belt!! (Long may Frank line his own pockets)!!.............

Give him some credit, the BT Sport shows have been great so far. If we discount PPVs then he's given us better boxing than Hearn this year
