UIC Pavilion, Chicago, Illinois - In his second pro fight, Irish Olympian Michael Conlan (2-0, 2 KOs) stopped Mexico's Alfredo Chanez in three rounds. Conlan dominated the first, starting very fast and connecting hard to drop Chanez during the action. The second round was more of the same. There was a brief pause after Chanez went down due to a low blow and milked the opportunity to recover from the incoming punishment. Conlan continued to batter his opponent in the third, dropping him again near the end of the round and the fight was eventually waved off.
