Comments Thread For: Malignaggi Still Gives Golovkin Edge Over Canelo - Explains Why

Last fall, former two division world champion Showtime Boxing analyst Paulie Malignaggi was siding with IBF, IBO, WBC, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) to defeat Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-1, 34KOs). Both fighters have been in action since his prediction.

Interesting point of view. I forgot about the pressure aspect, mental pressure.

There's a whole lot of other intangibles with this fight for both sides. There can be a lot of different outcomes in a fight like this. But it's always interesting to hear Paulie's take on fights and match ups.

He's Italian, but he does look like a transvestite so I can see why you thought he was Puerto Rican.

Edit: Apologies to my Puerto Rican friends on here. Just fucking around.

Pretty good evaluation by Paulie. He is one of the best commentators when he's not being emotional.

Not a cool thing to say Mukuro. You're way better than that.

Thanks for thinking I'm better than that. No offense to Puerto Ricans. I have to let out the hate every now and then, it isn't personal.

Paulie makes a great point here, Canelo has to earn ggg respect early in order to be able try and make it his type of fight and not gggs type of fight. Look for a monster left hook early in the fight kind of like he did to ángulo. I'm sure that'll make ggg think about rushing in
