Comments Thread For: Froch: Hard To Argue With Tyson Fury's Belief He'll Toy With Joshua

Former world champion and Sky Sports analyst Carl Froch admits that Tyson Fury's claim he would deal with Anthony Joshua "like a cat playing with wool" is "difficult to argue with." Fury (25-0, 18 KOs), 28, has not fought since dominating Wladimir Klitschko over twelve rounds to capture the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight world titles in November 2015. He was forced to vacate his championships last fall after dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse.

Joshua fought a much better, more revitalized version of Klitschko than Fury did.

But Froch never says anything remotely smart.

Yeah I've heard this before but where's the evidence this is true. Before the Fury fight Wlad was on sky saying he was fitter than ever and expecting to rule for another 4 years. The fact he looked better against Joshua might not prove he was a better version. Just that Josh ain't as good.

There is really no evidence to back that up, other than him doing better against Joshua than he did Fury

I don't listen to what fighters say, but watch what they do.

Haven't you ever lost at something and come back way, way tougher the next time? It's human nature. If you keep winning, and doing so without much effort, you get complacent.

Yeah but remember Wlad was older too, another camp behind him. Don't normally get better in your 40s.I think he had more problems coz of Furys style, you ain't gotta go looking for Joshua.

Fury will toy with him till AJ catches him or hits him downstairs!

Wlad was not pressuring Fury enough, Joshua would bring lots of pressure until Fury is kissing the canvass and then have him singing a swan song in defeat after being stopped!

He can't keep on pressuring, he'll gas out sooner or later.
