  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Waits on Wladimir Klitschko's Decision on Rematch

According to Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBO, WBA, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs), they are waiting for Wladimir Klitschko to make a final decision regarding a potential rematch in the fall. The two boxers collided last month at Wembley before a record of 90,000 fans. Klitschko went down in the fifth round, and then he come back and put Joshua down in the sixth. Joshua bounced back in the championship rounds to drop Klitschko two more times for a stoppage win in the eleventh round.

KLIT got beat his last 2 fights and was just knocked out! Its over! JOSHUA has WILDER or FURY in front of him. Both are huge fights for HW division.

      His potential is unfounded!

That said, I wouldn't favor him over Ortiz, Fury or even Wilder!..

He would be favored over Pulev, Parker Stiverne and the other guys!

I did like the fact he showed he has a solid chin and good survival instincts!

His head movement was spectacular in the 6th and 7th round after getting dropped!

I think he beats down Wlad in a rematch within 5 this time, he hurts him the 2nd round and paces himself this time and then dispatches him in the 5th!..

Joshua knows how to stop the left hook and can deal with the jab and straight right down the pipe, Wlad couldn't handle the bodywork and uppercuts!

Will be a good fight still while it lasted!

If he beats them all then he'll go down in the HOF and an ATG!

A resume of a HOF ATG Wlad, prime most dangerous man at SHW Wilder, the most skilled HW Ortiz, the man that beat the man first in a prime Tyson Fury, and a decent prime fighter in Parker is a solid resume but I think he'll take a loss here and there along the way!

WBA has already said they'll let AJ get a voluntary done if he requests for it & for sure will be ok with a rematch considering their belt made for the AJ-Wlad fight.. Only problem would be IBF & Pulev's only chance at a title would be a vacant one..

Why can't Wlad go for a belt from Parker or just move on? Why does he have to stall AJ's career. We want to see AJ fight Wilder and that won't happen if Wlad steals 6 months from AJ for another fight since AJ is only fighting twice a year.

These two guys have abit of a weird relationship! Just imagine being heavyweight champion for 10 years! The heavyweight titles are a big part of Wladimir Kiltschko identity as a man! (He is one of the very few boxers in my opinion these days, that takes great pride in having a world title belt! Wladimir Kiltschko is old school in his conduct towards being a honorable world champion! So that is why i think he is having a very hard time letting go of HIS belts! I just don't think Anthony Joshua has done enough to diminish Wladimir Kiltschko's flame totally! It is still burning, and gathering more heat as we speak!).....

I think AJ will maybe take a loss from Wilder or Ortiz and Wilder only if he gets a lucky punch as his fundamentals are terrible and he sticks his chin out. He also only looks for a 1-2 or a wild looping right hand. Ortiz on the other hand that guy is dangerous... AJ should be worried about him. Other than those two I see AJ out muscling and beating any other HW

KLIT was a very good and classy champ but he's been stopped at least 4x and is pushing 42 yrs old. His ship has sailed and its a new era. He should bow out gracefully b4 they carry him out!!

I'd rather see a rematch with these two than watch AJ fight some bum that Hearn dug up.

                    Wlad's going for the rematch.
