What makes you think ggg is a lot weaker than canelo?

He was obviously replying to the comment about Brook being taller.

You think GGG would let lil Floyd walk him down?

I forgot, Angulo was walking Canelo down. Even when he was taking those flush shots.... never went down or anything. then the ref jumped in. one of the most bizaare stoppages.

Kovalev outlanded ward. GGG outlanded jacobs by 3-1. He outlanded him in jabs 5-1. If you think ward beat kovalev like ggg beat jacobs you know very little about boxing.

Folks are making a lot of assumptions that dont make sense, extrapolating things from the Jacobs fight that can't or won't apply when Lil g and Canelo do it.

If, for example, Canelo had stopped Jr. or had him down or even seriously hurt Jr we'd know Saul had enough power to make Lil g respect him.

As it is, we don't know if Jr respected Canelo's power or simply entered the ring too drained to even contemplate going to war.

If we saw Jr. catch Canelo with some great shots and then see Saul walk thru them or take them well, we might have more of an idea how Canelo will take Lil g's shots.

                None of that happened.

And those factors happen to be the most important aspects of the match-up.

If Canelo can't make Lil g respect him, it won't matter how ordinary Lil g's skill level might be.

If Canelo can't take Lil g's power, it won't matter how good a boxer and counterpuncher Canelo is.

And none of that has changed in a year.

All we do know is that a fighter with skill, a decent chin, power, and movement can beat Lil g.

                Jacobs gave us that blueprint.

But, while we know Canelo has skill, it is unclear where he is at as far as the other three factors when it comes to middleweight.
And jacobs has much more power than canelo. 1 punch ko power against top mw's.

Exactly. Why is this simple math eluding people?

G's victory over Jacobs was a razor margin, not some wide dominance.

And I don't agree that Jacobs is better than Canelo. Not at all. Pirog put that theory to sleep years ago.

And as you say, the only one to not only beat but even close to beating Canelo was The Best Ever.

                    incorrect.

                    GGG outlanded Jacobs

                    GGG was the aggressor(ring generalship)

GGG did the most damage (check faces and punch stats)

                    GGG scored the long KD

GGG won on every metric in a fight possible.

                    whereas

                    Ward got knocked down

                    Ward was outlanded

                    Ward was more damaged

How is 231-175 3 to 1? Jacobs outlanded Golovkin in power punches why'd you leave that out?
