The extend of the damage is often exaggerated, but I do think the pac/may fight did damage in regards to gaining new fans.

If you ask boxing fans, most were hooked by watching an unforgettable or at least really exciting fight.

If the the first hyped fight I would have seen was canelo vs lara or klitschko vs povetkin, I probably would have been turned off by boxing for a period of time.

I understand that but those fans don't stay anyway. They come for the event but don't stay on as fans.

They do the same thing for pro wrestling with Wrestlemania-they buy that but don't watch RAW or Smackdown the week following. Same thing for football-the Super Bowl and College Championship get HUGE ratings but no individual game during the season comes anywhere close.

i don't know about bringing him to america unless the finances dictate it. He is going to make huge money in england, especially off ppv.

The only way i'd bring him to the us is:

1. To fight wilder in msg.
2. To fight in vegas where he is assured a win to get more americans interested-shannon briggs maybe.

no i mean just to promote himself and his brand... He could be on hot 97 and breakfast club radio shows like that... He could also go on late night since he is friends with that british dude cordan who does the car pool karoake... Things like that will make his name more recognizabale.... He wont come to fight here because he cant sell ppv here so i cant blame him for fighting in england.... even the wilder fight wont sell much on PPv here ! i think the wilder fight should be in london at wembley! both guys would get double the amount!

My point exactly. Since you have no argument and can't deny the fact that HBO had better numbers on a 5 hour delayed fight with virtually no promotion I accept your admission to being an inbecile. Broner or Lomachenko have absolutely nothing to do with Showtime's numbers being garbage for the biggest heavyweight fight on Showtime in years. I don't see an actual number mentioned to be 100% clear. Is he talking buys or revenue? Due to the difference in price between the UK vs the US I'd be most curious how much revenue Joshua is creating in comparison to US PPV guys.

i thought showtime promoted this fight pretty damn good to be honest.... Hbo didnt promote it all... I know they had time constraints but thats no excuse.... Lomachenko was promoted on hbo for weeks and he did less than this fight so you need to kep that in mind.... Maybe they lost 100k views because of bad promo... Maybe
