Comments Thread For: Bellew: Being Heavyweight Champion is a Realistic Possibility Now!

As previously reported, former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew has brushed off the idea of retirement and plans to continue his career - by targeted the possibility of becoming a champion in the heavyweight division. Bellew, 34, moved up from cruiserweight to pull off a shocking upset with an eleventh round stoppage of David Haye in a heavyweight contest in March and considered retiring after the bout.

Used to hate Bellew, but in the aftermath of the Haye fight he came across as a great guy. Would be unreal if he upset a heavyweight champ, and trolled the entirety of boxing.

Listen here Bellend, you're pushing your luck testing Wilder! This clown said he wrote a will on a napkin when he fought David Gay but you better plan your funeral if you dare step in a ring with Deontay.

I remember during Sky's pre-fight hype they did a little feature with Bellew with his wife and kids. He said he needed one last big payday and wanted to get back safe to his family. I believe continuing in HW is just gonna bring him unnecessary injury and damage. He's built a good fan base following the Haye win but he needs to get back to cruiserweight.

            That's never going to happen.

To be honest I cant see him getting in with Wilder, hes just to big. But now the Parker fight if off, it would be the most likely to put together.

The Bellend rather go out getting shredded by windmills in three rounds at home instead of getting boxed to a boring points decision in NZ-- hes ****** like that and thats about the only thing I like about him.

Why wouldn't Bellew fight Stevenson or Kovalev then for pride

Bellew is a bottom of the barrel fringe boxer who is just weak and frail. Bellew is no champion and just a big mouth.
Let Bellew fight Stevenson then to gain some redemption and stop the laughter? Bellew is more clown than champ. Most Brit fighters are delusional anyway like that royal family crap the Brits have,.
