It's disappointing to see ATG talent like this going to waste. The fact is, Donaire might end up being HOF, Rigo...not likely, despite the fact his talent is levels above Nonito

At this rate, no. He needs a few significant victories

I say yes. As much as I dislike the guy, he did beat a p4per and has an outstanding amateur career.

When you judge his whole journey in the boxing world, he's a HOFer.

I'd never say never with the boxing HOF with any P4P discussed guy who had multiple belts or a long reign. I mean depending on how low Broner goes from here out I could imagine they'd vote him in. So for sure Rigo gots a shot. But that's more cuz the boxing HOF is a lil goofy with their voting sometimes.

I'd assume he won't get in based on what he's done thus far doe & I'd argue he probably doesn't belong in it if it represented what I felt it should, but I do suspect he'll get one or more big fights before it's all done and how well he does or doesn't do there will really decide his HOF fate.

Not if he keeps going at the rate he has been. He is 36 years old with 17 fights and his biggest win is Donaire. Not exactly lighting the boxing world on fire.

I don't think so, he doesn't have enough big names wanting to fight him. There's been many great college/minor league/high school baseball/basketball/football players that the talent was there but their career in the majors just didn't live up to what they were capable of for one reason or another. While Rigondeaux had an outstanding amateur career, I don't think that has ever been counted in IBHOF history.

In his pro career, obviously things could be worse for him but he's made the most of it going undefeated and winning world titles, #1 in his division, what more can you do under his circumstances? He's about to fight #6 122lb Moises Flores. I mean the guy is doing everything he can but I think he'll come up short not because of his ability, he's just too good and guys just don't want to fight him. Hopefully he looks vulnerable vs Flores but still wins, that way more fighters grow balls and fight him. Of course fans will say that he's overrated and whatnot if he looks mediocre vs Flores but that's what he needs to do. Get a little bit wild in there.

If they vote for Broner, I'll stop taking the hall of fame serious because that would be disrespectful to more talented boxers who weren't inducted. Same with Arturo Gatti, he's not supposed to be there and I will never recognize him as a HOF. Everytime people discuss Broner here it's not even related to boxing as a sport, he's a hypejob. It's about his beef with Floyd, it's about people trying to shoot him, but it's never about boxing

Rigo deserved the place in the hall of fame just because of his talent. I'm tired of seeing Cuban boxers being so talented but mismanaged at the same time

Gatti being there is exactly why I could see Broner there. I don't wanna get into a Gatti vs Broner pissing contest, but to me neither should be there. Or at least with what Broner has done, I think it's possible, although probably not likely, he could change the trajectory of his career at some future date.

I don't think you should get in on talent alone is my reasoning. I think you need to have proven your talent vs a certain amount of top tier talent in the ring. And I don't think Rigo has done enough of that in his career, regardless of the mismanagement issue.

And hey Rigo is one of my favorite guys. The last fight I went to in person was when Rigo won the title from Ramos and I made a special trip from out of the country back to the US to attend that fight. I still gotta be honest with what his accomplishments look like in comparison with guys I feel should be in the boxing HOF and when I do Rigo comes up short.

He is a lock for the hall of fame, as they consider the whole body of work including amateurs..

Rigo never has to fight again, and he is a lock for the hall of fame
