Comments Thread For: Tommy Langford is Aiming To "Smash" Avtandil Khurtsidze

It might be wise to avoid mentioning to Tommy Langford that he's fighting for a 'diluted' version of the world middleweight title when he fronts up to heavily avoided Georgian Avtandil Khurtsidze for the vacant WBO interim strap at Leicester Arena on Saturday week, writes Glynn Evans. The reigning British and WBO Inter-Continental king, now unbeaten in 18, claims he's been left to mop up WBO regular champ Billy Joe Saunders' dirty mess.

Avtandil Khursidze is a LITTLE BLOCK OF MUSCLE and STEEL! A BEAST! He is uncrackable.

Dude is the epitome of an inside technician. He burrows in your chest not he inside, and unleashed ferocious short hooks, and uppercuts. Because his arms are so short, he can turn over his punches much faster than taller opponents.

He also has very quick feet, and good upper body movements to allow him to weave inside without taking much damage and avoiding jabs.

To watch the perfect example of an outside fighter vs inside fighter watch Khurtsidze vs N'Dam N'Jikam. Close fight that I think Avtandil won..

Nah don't think so. N'Dam fought the perfect fight to survive, not so much to win, although he got the decision anyway.

Avtandil has improved a lot since then, doe..

Quillin, Curtis Stevens and Lemieux are pretty big punchers and they didn't stop Ndam either.
Langford has fought nobody, and particularly nobody with a punch, so hard to judge how this will turn out
