Comments Thread For: Frank Warren on First BT Sport Card, Adams Debut, Dubois

I've been around the business of boxing for a very long time now and, as such, have attended personally and viewed more shows on TV than I care to remember. So I think I am pretty well placed to judge on the broadcast presentation of a promotion and, I have to say, I believe the quality of BT Sport's production of our Manchester show on Saturday was first class.

I remember how harsh warren was In regards to ajs level of competition so I'm very interesting in seeing how Dubois is matched.

Did anyone see my pub mate that Frank Warren match with Dubois? Yeah am sure Fwank Warren himself would have done a better job.

That guy was a late replacement for David Howe, who is a handy boxer albeit with a chin that makes David Price look like George Chuvalo

With regards to the whole card, it was pretty uninspiring but Frank can't entirely be blamed. As I mentioned, Dubois was left facing a weak late replacement, and Frank couldn't have predicted that Gethin would fold like that or the controversial ending to Smith vs Williams. However, Flanagan as A-side is simply never going to work without Crolla or a superstar like Lomachenko and it would've been a better atmosphere had the fight taken place in Liverpool or Cardiff with Smith vs Williams headlining. Nicola Adams really ought to be lower on the bill from now on too, at least until she faces someone who could plausibly beat her

The presentation was a bit awkward too. I'd like it to be Woodhall and McIntosh commentating, Bunce hosting, Lillis and Jones as pundits and Webster interviewing the fighters. I like Bunce as a TV personality but keep him away from the interviews. He's worse than Kellerman at forcing narratives. And I see no reason why Dempsey should take the place of Lillis and Jones

That was BT sport first boxing broadcast, so I don't want to blame them too much, Fwank Warren has been in the boxing game for over 40 years if am right. We always get late withdrawal with Fwank Warren, it happened throughout the Ricky Hatton era with pizza delivery replacement. Am not falling for that rubbish doe.

Terrible Card, with the only decent fight ruined by the clear loser winning via a headbutt?

not to mention the ****ing ridiculous scorecards.

NOT a good way to start their BT debut...
