  • Comments Thread For: Gerald Washington Offers To Face Dillian Whyte on June 3

If Dillian Whyte needs an opponent - he may have found one. Top rated WBC heavyweight contender Whyte (20-1, 15 KOs) will appear in the main event of a planned card on June 3 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Whyte has been hunting for an opponent, and the British boxer says the showdown has a high probability of becoming a world title eliminator.

Whyte should get Hearn on that ASAP. Seems like a good fight for Whyte (& Washington & fans) with Washington having just fought Wilder & not looking all that bad outside of being "KO'd" by the wind from Wilder's windmill deluxe super spin combo (as determined by the ref anyway).

        Not interested.

Washington should rematch Mansour & Beetlejuice should rematch Chisora (who he lost to)

i'm not sure why, but i like washington. maybe it's because i don't have to listen to him shout bomb squad?

            who knows.

but anywho, i don't think it's a good idea to jump right into a fight with a fringe contender. washington can tune up with a top 25ish guy and get in rounds without having to fight white in what will likely be his back yard. i understand that washington isn't young and needs to be moved quickly, but he is a HW and if he's positioned properly he can get in line for a title shot against joshua, wladimir, fury, parker, whoever. i don't think the white fight would be worth it at this point from the perspective of washinton's management.

Whyte is fighting a top 15 guy. Breazeale or Wach I'd guess.

It's a good fight! Washington is a big athletic dude but he's coming off a KO loss so Whyte is a dangerous fight.
