Comments Thread For: Hopkins: Canelo Beats Chavez, Golovkin in Mexican Legend Quest

The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas, Nev. - Recently, BoxingScene.com and a small group of reporters caught up with future Hall of Fame inductee Bernard after he called the action with Bernardo Osuna for Golden Boy's latest fight card on ESPN. Antonio Orozco stopped KeAndre Gibson in a battle of super lightweight prospects in the main event of the telecast.

Money or legacy, choose one. It's been almost 18 months since Canelo became lineal middleweight champ. Depending on your definition, he's already renounced that by fighting outside of middleweight twice, and once for a belt.

I like Canelo, but he needs to face Golovkin and soon to fix his legacy. The Canelo who fought Lara needs to put his foot down again and demand it.

B Hop has little to no credibility these days. Its sad to witness

Truthfully, I was done with him after his comments about Pavlik but lately he's even harder to listen to

Funny how different Hopkins perspective was when he was the mw champion and felt that the bigger names at the lower weight class were avoiding him. Now he's advocating for a guy taking on lesser fighters while avoiding the mw champion.

The fight will travel the entire 12 rounds and Canelo, being the better boxer is most likely to win on points. Should there be any knock out, Chavez who have a granite chin, is likely to win.

Be careful with comments from Hopkins. He is part owner of Golden Boy. They are always trying to hype up Canelo. Until he fights GGG (not close to retirement), Canelo will not get the respect from fans. Or he can just stay at junior middleweight where he belongs. Just give a rematch to Lara.
