When comparing the last six fights for Aleksandr Usyk and the last three fights for Michael Hunter, they both throw and land well above the cruiserweight average. for jabs per round. Usyk, who has faced the better opposition, nearly doubled jab average for landed/thrown. Usyk threw a cruiserweight record 99 jabs in round two of his win over Knyazev.

So, assuming these figures are accurate, Usyk throws more but lands less... Hunter throws less but lands more. That would explain a lot of Usyk's decision wins... flashier, busier... but not really landing consistently at an elite percentage. The wild card... Hunter's opposition is a little less formidable. Usyk is pegged to win this, but maybe it's because he's the more well known. Hard to say at this point. I hope Hunter wins, but won't be surprised with whatever happens.
