Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Targets Lomachenko vs. Flanagan Unification

The owner of currently the longest unbeaten record in British boxing for an active fighter has every incentive to extend this sequence when he faces his toughest test yet on Saturday. Terry ‘Turbo’ Flanagan hasn’t been overly troubled during his innings so far of 32 not out in a knock that includes five world title contests.

This is what you a typical Frank Warren fighter he has the longest unbeaten record yet please name somebody who he has fought who is geniune world class that he has beat.

The first time he steps up he will get beat and then back to 6 round journeymen fights until the next big payday comes along. He struggled with *aggot and could not stop a 42 year old fighter

This is ridiculous. Yes, let's focus our attention on the name in a division below us. Instead of fighting a top 5 person in the division for the first time ever, let's fight the smaller guy with the bigger name. I'm turning a blind eye to Flanagan. 135 is one of the deepest, interesting divisions right now. However, he has held the title for 2+ years and has fought no one. Didn't fight Crolla for a Manchester clash. No mention of unifying with anyone. Just nothing. I don't care about his title or his boxing record. It doesn't seem like he's interested in competitive, intriguing fights. I hope Petrov wins...

If Flanagan beats this guy then surely a fight with Robert Easter Jnr works best next!!...,..

No offense to Petrov, who is a decent, second-tier challenger brought in to lose a decision, but if you've held a belt two years and made four previous defenses and he's your "toughest test yet" as the article says, you have probably been milking your paper belt like a prime Holstein.
Can't imagine Flanagan ever being allowed into the ring with Loma

                Yes please!

Would love to attend a Loma fight in the UK, that would be great to see.
