  • Comments Thread For: Loeffler on Usyk Facing Hunter on HBO, Plans For Usyk in 2017

WBO cruiserweight titlist Aleksandr Usyk makes his second outing in America (and on HBO) this Saturday night from the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, when he faces Michael Hunter. Back on December 17th at the Forum in Inglewood, California, Usyk was able to subdue Thabiso Mchunu in nine rounds but early on heard the boo's and catcalls from the restless audience.

let me guess this guy will be billed as the most avoided fighter in the cruiserweight division and will fight anyone from 175 to heavyweight

Mchunu, a smallish southpaw, provided a very difficult style in which to truly shine. The hope is that Hunter will be a better dance partner.
Honestly I think it might be a similar story. But facing tricky styles at this point of his career will make him a better fighter in the end

no way, hunter is not going to run / not engage like Mchunu.

Usyk needs an impressive stoppage here and i rate hunter but i think Usyk will get it here..

Loeffler what's up with the Triple G injury rumors? Came out of no where and is supposedly stalling the Saunders fight. Saunders promoter paid a bunch of step aside money to their mandatory to make the fight. Not a good look right now Loeffler. I like Triple G, but this is not a good look. Why wasn't this injury reported earlier?

I don't know, but after listening to golov-clowns insist that Ward will fake an injury to duck Kovalev..... this will be gold

              the spin: anyone from 154-168
the truth: NOBODY, unless the fight happens on my terms

the spin: Canelo is a businessman
              the truth: Golovkin is protected

the spin: tards insist that Ward would fake an injury
the truth: Golovkin may have Saunders problems, like he has Jacobs problems

              you golov-clowns should just STFU

every ******ed argument has come back to bite you on the ass LMAO

I'm quite looking forward to the Usyk/Hunter fight.

A unification fight soon would be great. Some good fighters there with titles.

I like Hunter, but it's way too soon for a fight like this for him imo. Usyk will probably box circles around him. I'm guessing they'll target a unification fight for the fall on HBO while having a more sure outcome for the fight back home in September. Someone like Masternak, Wlodarczyk or Vlasov would make a good opponent for that fight.
