Comments Thread For: Sosa: I've Got More Than Salido, Lomachenko is Getting Shocked!

There have already been a few upsets in 2017, and super featherweight contender Jason Sosa is ready to create another one. This coming Wednesday he will travel to Maryland for the most important challenge of his career, when he faces WBO world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (7-1, 5 KOs) next Saturday night in an HBO televised main event.

Sosa seems to be rugged and I don't think he'll quit, but he's just too slow to offer up much for Loma, IMO. Unless he comes up with a genius gameplan, I don't see how he'll keep up.

He may not quit but I think his corner will probably have to bail him out. I just don't see him being able to deal with the foot work and angles that Loma will bring. Respect to him for taking this fight though. We shall see.

Yea, I hope he gets recognition for that. A lot of guys step up to the plate and take on boggeymen but the fans reward them by calling them bums, leftovers, etc.
If nothing else, I expect Sosa to keep swinging until the fight is over.

they both are better than Salido. Difference is they faced a more prepared version of Loma than the 1 pro fight version of Loma that Salido faced. Also, they chose not to go with the headbutt and punch to the nuts approach that Salido had Mastered.

All I can say is good luck to Sosa. He's going in there with the best version of the best fighter in the sport currently, IMO.
