Comments Thread For: Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez: In The Bullseye

By Cliff Rold - This Saturday, we get the fifth consecutive same-day pairing of WBA/WBC/IBF/IBO unified middleweight titlist Gennady Golovkin and now-Jr. bantamweight Roman Gonzalez. It will be the fourth time in those five pairings that they've been paired on the same card. The larger Golovkin sells the tickets. On many of these days, it's been Gonzalez who sells the hardcore fans...

I'd like to see Estrada against Inouye and or Caudras. He's a better fighter now than he was when he fought Gonzalez.

The four beltholders in the class, which has no lineal king as yet, are a combined 105-1-1 with 79 knockouts. The most current TBRB top ten for the division is 285-21-7 with 209 knockouts, features 8 current or former titlists, and does not have enough room left over for former flyweight titlist Johnriel Casimero (23-3, 15 KO), former Jr. bantamweight titlist McJoe Arroyo (17-1, 8 KO), or a promising rising talent like Rex Tso (21-0, 13 KO).

OOOUUU!!! the haters of anything bellow 122 just got 'Rold'.

And Estrada fought with González in 108 pounds, he was drained as hell to make that weight.

Then González ducked Estrada in the flyweight division.

These guys are the size of sixth graders. I love boxing, but really cannot get into two guys this small who would be beat into a coma by anyone at a local bar.

That said, it certainly seems Gonzalez has been avoiding a rematch with Estrada at all costs. The only way to get anyone to even pay attention is to make these midgets fight on the undercard of G.

Hey, at least the loser can always make money by being the midget used in Mexico's Midget Tossing tournaments.

UFC FightPass is right down the hall if you're looking for chin out, haymaker bar brawls between middleweights the size of sunday afternoon fullbacks with about as much professional fighting tenure as actual sixth graders. NECKS!

And those midgets would whip your ass lol. It's cool not to be a fan of the lower weight classes but the reasons you listed are dumb. These fights are high energy fights where they swing the whole round the whole fight. You're missing out.

That's not a excuse piece of shi...

So, why people criticize Canelo for fight Khan if Khan accepted the fight? Commun sense, the fights have situation and Estrada fought in 108 pounds.

Is not the same merit beat a guy in his weight and beat a guy out of his weight. Is not the same fight with GGG in 155 than in 160, period.
