Comments Thread For: Jacobs' Trainer Reflects on Brutal KO of Nephew, Curtis Stevens

New York - For veteran trainer Andre Rozier, he may be in the corner of the biggest fight he's ever worked when his longtime pupil Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) takes on IBO, IBF, WBA, WBC middleweight champion, Gennady GGG" Golovkin (36-0, 33 KO's) in the main event of an HBO Pay-Per-View card.

Jacobs will probably get clocked like everyone else but he's a solid fighter and I'd still travel to see Jacobs vs Lemeiux if it ever happened..A loss is not the end of the road

Rozier makes a good point here about being on the ropes. Jacobs has his worse moments when he's on the rope. He need to stay in the middle of the ring

Stevens should go back and train with his uncle Andre Rozier

Especially when a guy like Lemieux gets you on the ropes. That is where he wants you to be. Just before Curtis got knocked out, he was not pushed or forced to the ropes, he willingly went there SMH. Afterwards I was thinking about that. Stevens nor Lemieux can fight off the back foot, so why would he willingly do it?

Rozier sounds like Dump whining about how bad of a job ***** supposedly did. Geez, under Rozier, Stevens had his most 'dormant' period. He was like a statue barely throwing anything in the Johnson fight, and many others. Hopefully Jacobs is better on his own figuring out the ins-and-outs of GGG or he's in serious trouble.
