Comments Thread For: Roach Confident: Thurman, Garcia Are EASY Fights For Pacquiao!

It's been a little over a week since Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia met at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. After twelve rounds it was Thurman who was awarded a twelve round split decision to become the unified welterweight champion. Thurman is now the WBA and WBC belt-holder.

As much as I don't like Roach (and I don't) he's 100% right. Danny likely gets stopped and Keith gets battered after doing his impression of trying to box and move.

Would like to see Manny fight one of either Brook/Spence winner or T.C. Those would be interesting fights in my mind

I was going to favor Thurman over Manny if they ever fought before the DSG fight, but now I favor Manny. Keith doesn't know how to bait anyone in, just trying to box in mid range, and trying to box mid range against an explosive mid range offensive counterpuncher now in Pacquiao is suicide. There is a reason why Mayweather refused to bob and weave that much against Pac and just never stop hiding behind his jab.

Make the Thurman fight then. Manny should be retired. He should pass the torch if he's going to try to fight.

Manny is still a great fighter and the Manny that showed up for Bradley 3 would beat Danny and Thurman. This Manny, IDK because age will beat anyone. TBH, for those that really watched Manny vs Vargas, I am sure they seen that Vargas stung Manny a few different times. The difference was Mannys approach, before if he got stung hed get into a brawl, this time he handled it like a veteran and bobbed his head and moved forward making him look not hurt and the aggressor. Keith and Danny are young strong counter punchers which is/was Mannys weakness which could end badly for the Filipino legend. Id still put my $ on Manny but not much.

Yes Thurman beat Danny, but it wasn't a landslide domination. Thurman is a grade above Danny who is slightly above average (and maybe just average). So Thurman is a C+ or B- who doesn't have much power and his defense/chin are untested. Pac destroys those guys...even at his age.
