Comments Thread For: Errol Spence: When I Beat Kell Brook - I'm The Top Dog at 147!

New York - This past weekend the welterweight division and its path for clarity as to which fighter is the best in the division became a bit clearer when Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KO's) won a split decision against Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KO's) and unified the WBA and WBC world titles.

Rumble young man rumble! This kid is a breath of fresh air in this era. He fights like the great 154 - 160 crew from the late 80s, early 90s. (MaCallum and McClellan come to mind)

Barring a bad chin (we don't know this yet), no one at 147 can beat this guy. Way too aggressive and active with precision. A true pressure fighter (not that Porter brand of pressure lol)

Good luck against Brook (who I view as his toughest test at 147)

First talking about walking down Thurman and stopping him and now seriously thinks beating Brook makes him the top guy at 147? Based on what?

Like the confidence, and 147 is loaded and fun to watch.

He needs at least two wins over the big boys at 147 to be considered as the best in the division.

He is really starting to believe his own hype. He seems to forget that he hasn't fought a guy that could punch back hard. A guy like brook whose same size as him and has real power at Welterweight, he is in for a rude awakening if he thinks he could walk Thurman and Brook down.

First he has to beat Brook, and even then it's hard to say that he's top dog. Pac, Thurman and maybe even Garcia are still ahead of him.

No one questions pac's resume, but if he does continue to fight, he's gotta mix it up with the big boys also. He can't continue to claim the best in thw division, and fight guys like vargas and horn to back it up.

Garcia's best win at WW is a close decision against lamont peterson. If Spence beats Brook, that may be the biggest win in the division since may-pac. I agree, he doesn't belong in front of Thurman and manny, but beating Brook, puts him ahead of Garcia, imo.

Beating Brook will put him in the higher echelons of the division that's for sure
