Berto (31-4, 24 KOs) and Porter (26-2-1, 16 KOs) will battle in a 12-round eliminator for the WBC welterweight title live on SHOWTIME with televised coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The winner will become the mandatory for the WBC crown picked up this past weekend by Keith Thurman, who unified the WBA and WBC titles with a victory over Danny Garcia on CBS at Barclays Center.

It probably will be a pretty darn good fight, Berto has no defense and Porter comes to be aggressive which should allow Berto to throw some uppercuts and other power shots.

I think Porter grinds him down but should be fun while it lasts.

It seems like Amir Khan has lost is WBC number 1 contender ranking.

Hopefully they have a good undercard. Most likely they will. SHO/PBC have been on fire this year.

Another good match up for the welterweight division. I'm just glad the "touch ups" are becoming few and far between. Both guys need a "w" here. I won't be surprised to see Berto catch Porter with solid uppercuts and hooks. But in the end, Porter's motor should be the difference.

This is a damn good fight potentially, as long as porter doesn't do that thing he does sometimes where he constantly lunges and overshoots over and over. Their styles potentially match up really well.

I think Berto's chin will be the key. Porter by KO
