Comments Thread For: DiBella: Danny Garcia is Like the Rodney Dangerfield of Boxing

NEW YORK Only a few feet separated Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman on a stage Thursday. Handicappers have placed more distance between them than that in establishing odds on their welterweight title unification fight Saturday night. Thurman is more than a 2-1 favorite over Garcia entering their 12-round fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (CBS; 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).

Poor Thurmos, after this, he won't even be able to do Aqua Velva commercials with that beard. Danny is going to show the planet why he got to this stage of his career. And Thurmos will sob himself to sleep after the loss.

what kind of a weak dis is calling him thurmos? lol

seen Thurman fight a couple of times and always enjoy watching him. he's more talented than Garcia. and definitely flat footed and slow and telegraphs his hooks.

hopefully Thurman has taken note of gracias plans to go to the body... I want to see Thurman impress once again against this douche bag cherry picker Garcia

it's really a pick'em fight, both these guys have many assets that counter one another, and both are in great shape.

haven't heard of any injuries or flu or illnesses or anything like that.

so far the only thing that is a detriment to the fight is angel garcia but that mess is on him and not what is in the ring.

all in all, this is a fantastic match, I do like danny but I prefer keith and his style, not only that, I haven't seen a fight of his and thought he got a gift decision on the cards, unlike garcia a couple of times.

now I know thruman said that garcia won those fights but he has to because that makes this fight bigger and garcia better, especially after he beats him, but also if he were to lose too.

i think thurman gets the decision, if that is even possible against danny "gift" garcia.

Would get more respect if he won his big fights clearly and in more dominant fashion, or have a rematch when the decision is controversial - Herrera/Peterson.
