Comments Thread For: Tommy Coyle Drills Rakeem Noble in Three Rounds

Hull, Ice Arena - Local favourite Tommy Coyle (22-4) stopped late replacement Rakeem Noble (11-1) in the third round to bounce back from a competitive loss for the British title in July. Coyle is 27 and this is a huge win for him in a crossroads fight.

Dear Chris Williamson, Thank you for your boxing report but I have an issue... Calling Dave Allens opponent unacceptable ?? this is a fighter who was 9-2 going in against a 50-50 win/loss 22-29 opponent which is certainly acceptable for an up and coming prospect, for the pure fact that Allen has more courage than sense you are going to call him out on a journeyman opponent that he should have been competing against all along before calling out any and all... should he be prosecuted for that, hell NO that is something that a boxing fan would love to see more often... Dave Allen needs to be managed/guided with care to protect himself from himself as he obviously willing to fight anyone (proof in the Ortiz fight that no one else will fight) so if he is brought back to the level where he should be we shouldn't be so quick to criticize, good win for Allen, Congratulations.. please excuse this journo

You need a good shake, there was nothing wrong with his comment, Allen's opponent was objectively disgraceful. Terrible matchmaking, utterly unconscionable.

a journeyman opponent after being the B side of two promotions where he was there to be beaten, I am sure you didn't say that it was terrible matchmaking when Allen was put in with Ortiz, but now it's easy to slag the matchmaker for pairing Allen with this easy win, if Allens opponent went a few rounds with him then maybe that would be ok? since allen got him out of there in the first round then it's utterly unconscionable.. so it's Allens fault ?
Hey I'm not saying that he was a good opponent but I think Allen was entitled to an easier fight after his last two...
