They have Brittish titles, North American titles, African titles, Asian or Pacific belts. Probably more too.

And that's what's wrong with boxing today. Too many belts, too many paper champions. I don't put any weight on any of the belts.
That's why I don't have a problem with Canelo dropping that POS belt. If little g wants the fight then sign the contract and take the 15 million.
Little g nuttriders thinking little g can call the shots or dictate the terms of the fight cause he has all them POS belts. They mean nothing!
Boxing is a business and at the end of the day business means money.
Little g can keep his belts while Canelo keeps raking in the money.
              That simple

It's a regional title, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Boxing isn't just about world champions, you know

The real problem is that there are actually four Latino champions, one for each sanctioning body

I totally disagree with you in that aspect. Too many paper champions and that's ruining boxing.
In other sports you don't get a championship for coming in 2nd place. You have one true champion and that's it.
For example, the WBA has three major champions per division. And that's not including the regional champions. The super, regular, and interim.
                  That's ridiculous!

You do get divisional titles in MLB, NBA, NFL ect. Plus various MVP Awards, Defensive Player Awards, player of the weeks and month ect.
