I'd be willing to bet Joshua-Haye sells more in the UK alone than the others do in total.
Biggest fight in boxing (AJ vs Haye or Canelo vs GGG)

It depends how you look at it and what defines biggest. Haye v AJ would sell out 90,000 in the UK in a minute and PPV sales would be through the roof. So in that sense, i think financially or at least the overall scale of the event, this fight would blow the others out of the water.
In terms of relevance in the boxing world and importance, GGG v Canelo is bigger. It could be said that AJ v Wilder is a more "important" fight for boxing and the HW division.
But as i say, neither would hold a candle to AJ v Haye in terms of attendance and maybe even PPV.Last edited by deathofaclown; 02-21-2017, 09:36 AM.Comment

AJ vs Haye? Why is that even in the question? Is it a big fight? Yes for the UK it is but it's not even the biggest fight at heavy let alone in all of boxing. It's a huge fight in the UK but it loses most of its luster here in the states snd elsewhere around the world.Comment

If Joshua destroys an old Klitchko (which I think he will) the Joshua vs Haye fight would be the biggest imo.Comment

You have to be really loyal to wake up at 4 in the morning or stay awake all night to watch a boxing match.
1.4 is crazy especially considering it was on while most people are fast asleep. That why I think AJ v Vlad will beat 1.4mil because it’s on at prime time.Comment

Haye is a massive star in the UK.. He also has a good following in the US. I’ve even heard some guys in the US say Haye is better known over there than Wilder is?. Don’t know if that is really the case but AJ vs Haye will break every single record in the UK.AJ vs Haye? Why is that even in the question? Is it a big fight? It’s such a big fight in the UK alone I expect it’d do over 2.5million PPV here and in this day and age that’s unheard of, even Mayweather didn’t break a million for his last fight.
So while AJ v Haye is more of a domestic fight, is a mega domestic fight and that alone would it the biggest fight of the year.Comment

The biggest fight in boxing is probably Joshua vs Fury really. On a comparison between AJ and Canelo standpoint, if expect AJ to have better ppv numbers in the uk alone but Canelo to have the slightly better ppv revenue due to the way they are priced either aid of the pond. Also Golovkin would be best of financially fighting for Sky in the UK lol.Comment

That is a massive fight and it would most likely be a bigger than AJ vs Haye. But I’m not sure Fury will ever come back, he seems to be fed up of boxing. Shame really as Fury was the best trash talker in boxing. AJ should fight in the US though.. Hatton had 35k people travel to the US to see him fight, AJ is a way bigger star than Hatton IMO so should be able to sell out US arenas with UK fans alone. Not sure if he’d be a PPV star over there though.Comment
