Comments Thread For: Broner Says He Fought For Nine-Plus Rounds With Broken Hand

Adrien Broner believes his fight against Adrian Granados would've unfolded differently had he not suffered a hand injury during the first round. Broner said during a post-fight press conference early Sunday morning that he broke his left hand after landing a left hook in the first round. That changed his game plan, according to Broner, and minimized the use of a jab he had hoped would keep the relentless Granados at a distance during their 10-round welterweight fight in Cincinnati.

Broner not a 147 fighter. Dude should stay at 140. He can make some serious noise there.

Broner is way too small for welterweight. Even Granados was a monster compared to him

...he's stuck like Chuck because he can't lose weight...either he shows up overweight, or changes the contracted weight like he did with Granados...it's only a matter a time before he gets beat down, or KTFO..can't wait...fcuk Broner!!!

Leave Broner at 147. We would love to see him get demolished again. If he ever faces anyone legit that is.

Regardless of his performance or his reasons for it, he's shown that he's not an elite welterweight. He doesn't have the power or the gas tank to deal with any of the killers there. The most I can see him doing is getting a decent paycheck against Pacquiao if he wises up, or maybe the winner of Garcia-Thurman (more likely the loser though).

Yeah Broner looked tiny compared to Granados. He needs to get a nutritionist to get him down to 140
