This is the perfect next step up for Valdez imo. I love what I've seen from him so far, but Marriaga will be his best opponent to date. Excited for this fight to materialize

If Valdez doesnt learn to vary the intensity on his punches instead of winging every shot from the fences as a home run, he is going to wear down or get caught during a fight and someone like Marriaga is going to catch him late. Valdez makes really dumb mistakes like that and better learn soon.

The return of WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (21-0, 19KOs) could take place in April, either on tentative dates of the 8th or 22nd of that month. According to WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, a mandatory defense of his organization's featherweight title is long overdue.
