Floyd Mayweather Jr. has come out and denied that there is a deal for a superfight between him and UFC star Conor McGregor will happen sooner rather than later. The newest statement from Mayweather contradicts what he allegedly said to ESPN's Stephen A Smith, that he's on the verge of a deal with McGregor. "We're getting very, very close," the 39-year-old Mayweather apparently told Smith. While Mayweather told Smith he was optimistic, he also said nothing is guaranteed until contracts are signed.
