    Healthy, refreshed and ready to fight, Argentine puncher Lucas Matthysse will return from a 19-month on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Matthysse will appear in a featured fight as part of the HBO pay-per-view undercard to the all-Mexican clash between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

              I dont think he can beat Pacman, Thurman, Garcia, Brook, Spence, Shawn Porter, Bradley,not Crawford if he moves up. They should give him Amir Khan for their retirement fights. Who ever loses ritires.

                      Lucas is too small for WW. And definitely not skilled enough for some of those guys. Finally he's pretty shopworn and his ouch resistance is pretty much gone.

                              That fight with Prov ruined both fighters. He should just retire. Moving up a weight class is harder--- him losing to Postol showed he can't hang anymore.


                              I appreciate the entertaining fights he has brought, but it's time to hang up the gloves. For his safety

                                  Lucas should stay at junior welterweight. Especially with the likes of Broner and Crawford moving up.

                                  He's not a big enough or skilled enough fighter at Welterweight, and I'm not sure he would be favored versus any of Golden Boy Promotions prospects such as Frankie Gomez, Sadam Ali, or Rashedi Ellis.

                                  If Lucas is serious about becoming a welterweight then his return fight should be against Cano. That would be a good measuring stick fight for Lucas.
