  • Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Not Ready for Klitschko, David Price in Making'

NEW YORK Deontay Wilder doesn't think Anthony Joshua really wants to fight Wladimir Klitschko. The WBC heavyweight champion claimed Wednesday that Eddie Hearn whose company, Matchroom Sport, promotes Joshua forced Joshua into accepting an April 29 fight against Klitschko. Just 18 professional fights haven't properly prepared Joshua for facing Klitschko, according to Wilder.

He actually makes some valid points there amongst the **** load of rubbish.. fair play to him.

Is it too soon for Joshua? probaly but as champion he needs these fights to not ended up with deontays padded resume.

Does Hearn want the fight? yes.. $$$ but guarantee so does Joshua.

He is right about the way UK fans hype fighters though..

Wilder is a damn clown for this interview, so AJ should go his route and fight another 20 odd no hopers. I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for this guy to fight someone serious. Funniest thing is if Wladimir wins watch Wilder come out and start claiming he's the best HW because he hasn't lost or because he has the WBC belt, some BS along those lines.

I would understand if a legend of yesteryear was saying this but coming from Wilder, it's a damn joke. Who has he fought to be telling Joshua he's not ready??

Wilder knows, he's seen how hard it is to improve at boxing even just a little bit!

I remember Wilder threw no jabs but now is starting to throw behind it more since taking the belt from Stiverne!

I think Bibical with no proper head movement as always will be Wlad's right hand favorite treat!

          Wlad by KO 5th!

Joshua and Parker daring to be great and might lose i love that if AJ loses to Klit i wont bag him. Wilder is a disgrace he wont have a good fight this year i guarantee it. You Wilder lovers that blame everything on opponents testing positive enjoy it. Wilder can't run forever

“Joshua needs time to develop,” said Wilder, who’ll face Gerald Washington (18-0-1, 12 KOs) on February 25 in Birmingham, Alabama. “Of course. Tell me one fight that he done fought that would put him ready for a Klitschko.

Well, you can say the same thing about Wilder. Tell us one fighter on his record that would make him ready for somone like Klitschko?? I'm sure Wilder still feel he's ready to take on Wlad next.

None of us know if AJ is ready or not but when Fury took Wlad to school who had Fury fought that would make fans believe he could beat Wlad? Sometimes you just have to step up and prove yourself and hopefully AJ has what it takes.

You know it might in fact be a little early, but good on Joshua for taking it.
