Comments Thread For: Thomas Williams Wants Adonis Stevenson Rematch After Browne

Light heavyweight contender Thomas Williams Jr. is coming off a loss in which he was put away in four rounds. He wants another shot at the person who put him there - 175-pound champion Adonis Stevenson. "No one can say I was outclassed and I didn't belong there, in my personal opinion and from people I spoke with," Williams told BoxingScene.com. "I just got caught. I was in the fight, in an entertaining fight. I made it very entertaining. I was able to do some things that no one was able to do against the guy, because I prepared myself well. My trainers prepared me well. I just got caught with a shot that I didn't see. Sometimes that happens in boxing."

No rematch needed. Williams gave it his best shot and just got blasted. It was entertaining but I don't see what this guy can do differently. It wasn't like Williams just decided to back up on his own. Adonis blasted him with a vicious body shot that put him on his back foot. His best bet is to keep winning fights and fight for one of Wards titles, assuming he retires and vacates. Or a possible fight with whoever wins the rematch, which would be entertaining.

it wasnt only a body shot i think and uppercut got him to back off as well...he left out a huge portion of what really happened..if he keeps winning the rematch could make sense.

it was a fun fight that stevenson should get more credit than he got for it. Stevenson adjusted well and showed he could do some work on the inside but still he needed a left hand to finish the fight.
