Comments Thread For: Porter Aims To Shame Andre Berto, Will Keep Calling Him Out

Nah man, it's a good fight. It's not a high profile ww fight, but a good matchup, nonetheless.

A lot will be on the line for both guys. The winner would arguably still be mentioned as a title contender, the loser could be relegated to gatekeeper status.

I'd love to see it, i think it's a very competitive fight, and i don't give porter a huge advantage as some seem to. Berto will be there until the end, imo.

I don't understand Porter's obsession with a Berto fight. IMO, Porter is the top non-beltholder in the welterweight division. Berto is completely irrelevant in the division. I would love to see Porter fight a guy like Tim Bradley in kind of a crossroads fight. But of course politricks will prevent that. I think the fight Porter should be screaming for is Errol Spence, if Spence doesn't get Brook next. That fight makes all the sense in the world. It would be a chance for Spence to show he's legit. It gives Porter a chance to show that he's the top guy at 47 without a belt. Not to mention the Porter-Spence winner would be the guy fans w most wanna see the Thurman-Garcia winner in against.

Khan is looking for an opponent in April after running from a career high payday. It would be hillirous if Porter were to turn his attentions to Khan.

Berto said that there was going to be some big fights out of his promotional camp this year but then we haven't heard a peep.

It's a shame that the fighters who actually want to stay busy like Porter can't fight more than twice a year.

Porter just wants to fight, an attitude that I like. There is a lot of fights at 147 to be made and these guys need to be fighting each other sooner rather than later, problem is always money when it comes down to it.

Porter does seem to be fixated on the Berto fight, but on the other hand Berto seems to be reluctant. This fight is easy to make and could headline on any of the networks that PBC works with.
