Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: I Don't Want to Cherry-Pick My Way to World Titles

That's why the undefeated contender accepted a difficult fight Saturday night in just his second appearance after a 2-year layoff. The 29-year-old Garcia recognizes he needs to dethrone an undefeated, powerful fighter like Montenegro's Dejan Zlaticanin to re-establish himself as one of the best boxers in the world.

Respect to Garcia. A second fight back after a long layoff and he takes on this tough unbeaten fighter with some solid wins. He is aiming high. Lets see how the last portion of his career plays out. Many great fighters and fights to make in his weight class or two.

Salute to Mikey! Now go do what you do! I really want to see Mikey vs. Loma! Doubt if it happens, but that's a PPV worthy fight!! If Loma don't want it, then Mr. Garcia, dare to be great! Mikey Garcia vs. Terence Crawford! That's a BIG ****ing fight! Let's Go!

Yeah right. Why did his team reportedly "hold him back" from fighting Gamboa then? And instead he picks a "puncher" with less power than him, less reach, less speed, less EVERYTHING. How is that supposed to make a competitive fight? Mikey has every single physical advantage! That's terrible matchmaking.
