I see. So if Brook agrees with the 30/70 split, Khan would fight him now and ease up with the mandatory requirement?

Pretty much, Brook can drop the belt and claim he had a bigger offer etc

Beating Khan may not really propel him because everyone has done it. Of course Canelo didn't get a boost he was a bigger fighter, it did for Danny but that was like 5 years ago, but I don't think it helped Lamont. We are used to seeing Khan lose, and we already feel Brook is better, so I don't see the upside outside of money, but that's just me.

Also, I don't know his payday for ggg, so maybe the 30% isn't as big as we think in comparison

the more I think about it, 30% does sound too low

like some posters on the other thread pointed out..... Khan may be more popular than Brook, but he is not a PPV star..... and Brook is more relevant

maybe Khan should offer 40%, and Brook should take 40%?

Brook needs to stop being greedy, he will earn more than he did for the GGG fight, just take the offer

He's been chasing the fight for years, even when Khan was a lightweight

Just take the fight, you have nothing else going for you.

Brook is willing to walk away from millions for a measly 10 - 20% less offer?

He needs to put his ego to one side, there is far more to be gained from beating Khan in the long run...He can get more endorsement deals, maybe a stint on a reality tv show, as well as a possible rematch

Brook has everything to gain by beating Khan..

Khan is looking for a cash out fight, so i don't blame him for wanting a little extra....Brook still has sometime in the sport and more money to earn

Or he can risk it all by fighting Spence and then come back around the table and ask for 50/50, with a title in hand and some new found respect

Right now Khan has him cornered...

If you need it simplifying for yourself, go ahead. The rest of us know what Khan and his team are doing. They have Brook by the balls.

I agree - 60/40 in Khan's favour is the fairest thing to do.

But Khan and his team aren't wanting to play fair. Considering how Brook has behaved throughout his entire career (riding on Khan's name whilst fighting bum after bum in the UK, and expecting to be rewarded for it), Khan wants to now make things as most awkward as he possibly can. Forcing him into the Spence mandatory is one of them.
