Comments Thread For: Wilder Hopes The WBC Comes Down on Alexander Povetkin

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs) is hoping the World Boxing Council comes hammering down with the right punishment on Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin (31-1-0, 23 KO's). Last month, Povetkin was scheduled to face Bermane Stiverne (25-3-1, 21 KO's) in a final WBC eliminator from the Ekaterinburg Expo Center in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The winner would have become the mandatory challenger to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Wilder would do anything to avoid Povetkin.

He'll likewise stay away from other good heavyweights like Joshua, and instead fight soft opponents similar to Wawrzyk and poor faded Arreola.

Lmao nobody in the history of boxing has ever ducked Povetkin. He's a cheater because he was afraid Wilder was going to knock him out in front of his home crowrd

Your ignorant ****** ass doesn't even know the first thing about Meldonium. It was legal when he took it, and you can get it in Russia like you buy creatine here moron.

It also has a very long half life, and can be excreted in urine after 6 months due to it being in the fatty tissue being broken down over time.....

Wilder easily the most hyped up joker since Michael Grant & Duane Bobick. The Haymon great black hope. It's easy to see the protection this guy gets. 1 top ten opponent in 9 years as a pro? All hand picked guys made to make him look like a great black hope.

Pathetic display of what the black America needs to do in order to have a HWT titlest.

Rather, it's pathetic the lengths your going to, to defend this repeat offender. And for the record, Blacks clearly don't need a great black hope in boxing, Whites do.

This is why their so quick to align themselves with Russian boxers, because they have no constituency in the ring. And don't tell me your Russian cause I'm not buying it .

This isn't about race... or at least it shouldn't be. Wilder used to say GB wouldn't let him fight anyone but cans til his 20th fight. Then that number passed 30 and still nothing. So now, any fool can see he's just a big mouth and a ducker of any real challenges. He has some talent, but certainly not top elite. I hope he does step up to the plate, but as of now I have no illusions of that happening. And when he's finally forced into it, either he'll feign injury or get stopped.
