Comments Thread For: Lara Willing to Face Jermell Charlo Next in Unification Fight

Erislandy Lara would love to fight Gennady Golovkin or secure a rematch with Canelo Alvarez. The odds of Lara landing either of those fights seem slim, though, because Golovkin and Alvarez already have pay-per-view fights scheduled for March 18 and May 6, respectively, and supposedly are on a collision course. That'll likely leave Lara to fight other 154-pound champions.

Jermell is no longer with Shields...that's why.

Lara and Jermall have the same trainer.
It's really not that hard to figure out.

Good fight. I think Lara is fading tbh, and, despite being world class, he was never a great fighter.

Jermell is clearly less talented than his brother, but still a good fighter. Interested to see how he looks after a bit more time with Errol Spence's trainer.

Jermell is actually the more talented brother, just has less power. He's a little bit better than Jermall at everything besides power. That's really the difference.

based on what? yes he has less power but that doesnt automatically make you more talented as some on here would have you believe. he looked trash against vanes and lots had him losing. looked even worse against jackson and lost almost every round before ironically power bailed him out.

Only thing I've noticed is Jermell hasn't look as good with his new trainer. Maybe now with him being with Derrick James for over a year now. He looked terrible vs. John Jackson. Hell, he didn't look that good vs. Alcine. Compared to shutting out a bigger Gabe Rosado winning every round.

                We'll see.

He hasn't looked good at all since leaving Shields. Must of lost his slick bruva card when he switched trainers
