Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Dana White Carried My Bags, Now He's a Tough Guy

Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has lashed out at UFC president Dana White - as they continue to trade words over the financial terms for a boxing match between Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who have been going back and forth in the media for the past year. Last week, White offered Mayweather and McGregor $25 million each plus a cut of the pay-per-view revenue. Mayweather called White a "f***ing comedian" in response to the offer.

He made a good point when he said why does Dana White make more money than Conor Mcgregor when Dana White is just an employee of UFC? That's like a General Manager of a team making more than the players, it doesn't happen. You got some coaches who make more than players but they don't make more than the star player. Roger Goddell makes good money but he doesn't make more than the star players.

He's a promoter. The same as Arum, DiBella, Hearn and the rest. People don't tell them to shut up. And he gives good interviews for the press. They can write stories for days off of his interviews. That's why they're always sticking a mic in front of his face

There's also a mma fighters lawsuit where they are suing UFC because they want to unionize hopefully they win that

That would be the worst thing that could happen to MMA the sport. It would definitely make Conor vs Floyd or in general big name MMA guys vs big name boxing guys fights more likely to happen doe. And it'd for sure get the top 1% of MMA guys making more money, but most guys would be making more or less the same + more MMA leagues would go outta business as the competition trying to grab talent would create many casualties at all levels of the game like what happened when the UFC was originally coming into be the UFC we know now.
