Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner: Make Numbers Right - I'll Fight Burns in The UK

Former four division world champion Adrien Broner (32-2, 24 KOs) is prepared to pack up his luggage and fly over to the UK for a showdown with Ricky Burns (41-5-1, 14 KOs) - if the money is right.

Make the numbers right? Burns should make Broner pay for the title shot. How bad does he want the title?

Broner knows his level. I remember talk of Burns being faded when he faced Zlaticanin in 2014, and he's not any less faded now.

Broner knows he would get beat bad by Crawford, so won't go there.

vs Pac he's got the same story 'make the numbers right', and got a feeling that won't happen.

Could happen with Burns though as the UK boxing scene is pretty hot right now and he would go for it at a lower number as it one he knows he could win (whereas Crawford he can't win).

Broner vs Burns? It's like I'm really back in 2012.

Most likely but there would be good money to be made for Broner and Bud fighting for all 4 belts if Broner is able to go grab the other belts. Broner's big mouth would promote the hell out of that fight.

Somebody needs to break it to Broner, he really isn't worth much. Just cuz you are annoying as hell doesn't people want to see you. He already been beaten twice so he better take what he is given for a fight and be thankful he is being handed title shots right now.

                  January 7, 2017:

Ricky Burns could be set to hit the jackpot with a fight against Manny Pacquiao .
Pacquiao's trainer has suggested that the Scotsman could be next up for the Filipino fighting legend, with his WBA light-welterweight title on the line - reports the Daily Record .

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Freddie Roach hinted that the two fighters could be set to go toe-to-toe against one another in the near future as Pacquiao goes on a 'road trip'.

The 38-year-old had been linked with a clash against Australian Jeff Horn but Roach appeared to dismiss this match-up and said that Coatbridge slugger Burns had now come to the table.

Roach said: "Ricky Burns is coming to the table now.

"I don’t know the Australian guy but I know Ricky Burns and it’s a very competitive fight.

"We’d go on a road trip to fight these guys overseas."

The Filipino superstar's coach revealed the Scot could be set for a bout against one of the sport's pound-for-pound best fighters in the UK this year

Someone tell me how Burns became so popular lately?

There is only so much money to go around and Crawford has a stranglehold on the 140 money. Broner better worry about Granados and Burns will have to be an investment type fight if he wants those titles. I never heard of a spendthrift Scott and I don't think they'll change for Broner. He should just go over there and collect those trinkets on standard pay, (I didn't say cheap, but it's not a mega fight) then use the leverage for a Bud showdown, extravaganza, or milk them himself.
