Comments Thread For: Promoter: Chocolatito Wanted Rungvisai; Winner Must Fight Cuadras

NEW YORK Roman Gonzalez chose Srisaket Sor Rungvisai over Carlos Cuadras as his next opponent. Gonzalez could've met Mexico's Cuadras in an immediate rematch March 18 at Madison Square Garden. The 115-pound champion nicknamed "Chocolatito" instead opted to defend his WBC world super flyweight title against Thailand's Rungvisai on the Gennady Golovkin-Daniel Jacobs undercard.

We Be Crooks are once again showing what type of organisation they are.
Normally when it's a robbery, they back their judges and shrug it off. Chocolatito won by UD - not SD. There is no rematch in their contracts but wbc are installing one.

Is this coincidence that cuadras is Mexican and so is wbc?

I wonder if wbc will talk about making a special memorial belt if chocolatito fights a shot Nicaraguan?

    Anyway, enough negativity...
Two top 10 p4p fighters on the same card...good stuff!

I don't understand why Cuadras, the champion, didn't have a rematch clause. Of course Chocolatito picked the guy coming off fighting two guys making their pro debut. Cuadras gave Chocolatito Dat Work He had Chocolatito thinking about his family during the fight Cuadras won that fight

He wants a bit of an easy bout before having to go through hell again against Cuadras. I get it for sure.

Good thing about Choco is that his 'easy bouts' are ranked mid top 10 and have given other champions hell in the past.

Gonzalez could well struggle in this fight. Rungvisai is a good fighter. Tough as nails with big power. Took everything Cuadras threw at him and kept coming. Was looking like he was right in the fight and coming on strong before a clash of heads caused the fight to be stopped on cuts.

Funny that WBC werent so keen on making Cuadras rematch Rungvisai as they are making RG rematch Cuadras

Didn't he say he didn't want to fight in USA because of high taxes and he wanted more money against Cuadras if the fight was in USA.

Roman Gonzalez proving his greatness fighting the arguably the #1. undefeated Cuadras as he moved up in weight challenging for his forth crown in four different weights and now is set to face the #5. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai ; back-to-back fights vs. top five in the division. Then later on this year hes forced to rematch the #2. in Cuadras again!!! whats the conspiracy all about?! can you please pay Chocolatito already!!! he should drop the WBC like Canelo did and head over the UK and take the WBA from Khalid Yafai because Inoue is never ready and these bums over here at HBO are exploiting the P4P mean whilst I bet Andre Berto and Shawn Porter are going to clear about a million -- GTFO!!!.

Gonzalez only had 2 elites fighters as rivals, Estrada IN 108 POUNDS AND CUADRAS, no more.

Cuadras made his mandatory defensa vs Concepcion, ignorant, and read about the rules, with Gonzalez was an special fight, then of that fight the winner have to fight with the thai, WBC said: "you can fight the rematch with Cuadras or fight with Rungvisai" and Gonzalez ducked the hardest fight of both options.

                Of course.

And he is waiting that Cuadras is going to have problems to do the weight in september.

Is the only answer because the pretext of the money is sh.it, he will not get a pay of a million in septemer, and less fighting with this guy that nobody knows about him

                  God, what an ignorant.

Cuadras vs Gonzalez was the hardest fight of Gonzalez and the same Gonzalez said it, no matter if was ud, or sd, and some people saw Cuadras like the winner, for that reason HBO offered Gonzalez the rematch 2 times, first in december and then in March and Gonzalez refused two times the direct rematch.

Obviously he is avoiding the fight, waiting that Cuadras is going to have problems to do the weight.

                  A big difference:

One PXP is fightin with the #2 in his division.

Gonzalez is fighting with the #5 or #6 and ducked the direct rematch with Cuadras.
