James DeGale has long ago proven that he's not your run-of-the-mill modern day titlist. The first ever Olympic Gold medalist for Great Britain to win a world title (Lennox Lewis represented Canada in the 1988 Seoul Olympics) earned it and has kept it the hard way, fighting on the road in North America for the duration of his current reign.

“It takes the pressure off a bit. I'm living the American dream, coming to America and boxing here. I'm getting these opportunities from Al Haymon but this is the big one.”
Respect to James Degale! a real British champion not like the rest of his fraud countrymen its ironic that hes not pimping the brittish public and earned it the hard way here in the land of the free and not over there ; finally the UK will have a elite boxer but there's something about America that makes a man great!

Degales homecoming should be Groves to see if he can reverse that loss.

I'm surprised that he hasn't called for it. Even though Groves beat him twice, in the ams and in the pros, he looks very vulnerable (I think he suffered neurological damage in the Froch KO). This seems like an easy fight with a good-selling "revenge" theme. Should do great numbers in the UK.

I agree Froch took a lot of steam out of groves and although if I had to put money on it would probably go on Degale it is a natural grudge match and would probably be another good battle.....and the build up !!!

we, the english fans of this sport dislike degayle and his pie hole and mouthy little trainer.
the boy immediately demanded 1 million quid upon returning from beijing for signing as a pro. at that moment of "gimme gimme gimme" he became a disliked person here in england.
the 8itch has done nish to prove otherwise except give george groves a load of mouth before losing to him for a second time and yet, continued to keep moving with the gob. he still has no dignity and cant bear the though of losing to another englishman who was better than him twice.
his excuse for fighting away is because we dont like him. period.
