Can't see Parker and Joshua or Wilder anytime soon, so Hughie, Miller or Ortiz are probably the next best things.

Hopefully, the Heavyweight division is moving away from it's period of inability to get good fighters actually fighting each other.

We'll get 90% of the way there - Wilder is still a can crusher, and that won't change.

Interesting how UKAD reacts on Fury fighting, there is still a hearing pending, he still under a cloud. Hughie and Tyson Fury both used PED.

I'm a massive Tyson F. fan, but I've struggled to see anything special about Hughie either. He's well schooled, and a lot more technical than many heavies of the moment (not that that's anything to shout about) but he lacks that "it" factor which Tyson possesses in spades. He just strikes me as a very bland, meat and potatoes guy who'll likely remain in the upper half of the sport for a while to come but will never break through into that top echelon.

I'd love to see him prove me wrong though. I just don't see it.

Regeneration of the HW division needs to start from the mid-level upwards. Fighters coming up the rankings need to stop thinking about the division as a vast knock out tournament and actually take the risk of fighting each other. Fans need to stop writing off fighters who take a loss, especially if it's a close and competitive one. The term "bum" needs to stop being thrown around like confetti. Fighters like Jennings, Takam, Duhaupas, Chisora need to start being praised for their willingness to mix it up. Paper flowers like Wilder need to start being mercilessly called out on their refusal to take risks.

It's probably way too much to ask for, but one can hope at least. In the meantime the cruiserweights are around to show us how it's done. Let's show some love to that division as well.
