Heavyweight prospect Jarrell Miller fought three times in 2016. For the first fight, back in January, the 6-foot-4 fighter tipped the scales at 274.25 pounds. By August, he was nearing the three-buck mark, going all the way up at 296.5 pounds.

Wrong attitude by Miller. You train hard regardless of who you're fighting. This is what happens when a team spoon feeds a prospect for the first 20+ fights of his career. He starts thinking he's better than he really is. If I had a fighter like Miller who I trained to the level of his competition. I'd match him tough as hell and let him sink or swim. Becauae even if he makes it to the top. He can't be trusted to handle success.

It's not hard to weigh less than 300lbs unless you're a complete write off in the gym.

Yeah and Arreola is going to be skinny and Andy Ruiz is going to be a magazine model and cows will fly and Waikiki will be covered in snow. Miller is never going to be in shape. He will be just like those other guys and when asked if he can beat a certain fighter, he will respond like Tim Witherspoon use to do when asked if he could beat a particular fight where he would say "In shape or out of shape?" Not happening. Miller will be like the Mummy, slow as sht and will get his ears boxed off by a boxer with good foot movement. And it will be because he chose to be that way like Ruiz and Arreola.

Why? I think he should bulk up.

Imagine a 400lb dude with those skills

Miller is a good, young HW that doesn't take his craft seriously. He'll get starched by some no-name simply because he half-a**ed trained for the fight. Just a lazy, fat, waste of talent.

Would be nice if he cares about his physical condition. Kid has potential, but he needs to lay off the twinkies.

Actually, with a weight gain like that..he probably cleaned out the whole confectionery aisle.

If he keeps this up, he'll be nothing more than B-level fodder. So he should expect a call from Wilder's Manager accordingly.

When on a calorie deficit you lose muscle aswell as fat. I'm guessing he doesn't train when eating like a pig and ballooning up in weight, so everytime he loses weight for a fight he makes himself weaker than he was the fight before.
