    he was a decent champ, that knockout loss to Lebedev clearly took a lot from him

        Why do you even say that?? What are your criteria?

        He got a gift hometown decision against Afolabi [who also is nowhere near elite] who was robbed and then handed the full title on a plate.

        Then he stepped up to fight a true champ in Lebedev and was shown what's what, shown not to be at true championship level.

          His win over Afolabi wasn't in any way a hometown decision, but Ramirez was never anything more than an overachieving paper belt holder in an era of way too many belts.
