If it was Canelo, Floyd or even Amir Khan they would give them the shot, the belt or what ever they feel that would make more financial sense. Stiverne doesn't bring any money so they will enforce and make up rules.

Since Stiverne lost to Wilder nearly two years ago he has fought once. Derric Rossy a clown of a fight and he got dropped. This guy doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the top of the WBC let alone fighting for an interim. Pulev or Whyte deserve a go first even Gerald Washington ffs. Would like to see Wilder fight Parker but we all know Wilder is the biggest coward in world boxing so that will never happen

An interim title fight is now unnecessary as Wilder is healthy and has a fight scheduled for February. I don't expect another interim title fight to be scheduled, but the WBC might order Stiverne-Whyte for the mandatory position.
