Jacobs is the wba champion while ggg is the wba super champion, whatever that means. Titles aside Jacob's is better than Saunders, just like every belt holder at 154 was better than Liam Smith. Canelo can shoot for the wbo belt with Saunders but that won't impact the potential interest or negotiations for a Canelo vs ggg fight. The fight will have the same level of interest with or without the wbo belt. It just sounds nice to say it's for all the belts.

EXACTLY Saunders is terrible Jacobs is way better. The four belts would be great marketing tool. And yes Smith is terrible also.

NOTHING!!! Hence why the WBA wasn't gonna give Jacobs more than the mandatory split of 75/25. Which is the same for the #2,#3 whatever else ranked mandatory GGG fought.

Because Saunders has a belt and Jacobs doesn't. He NEEDS that belt to help in negotiations. CHAMPION vs. Champion is wayy better sale and for ALL the belts I don't even know if that has EVER happened before???

he said Brook would be his toughest fight, he said Lemieux would be his toughest fight, he said Murray would be his toughest fight, other than Brook I don't think he's ever lost a round mostly cause he hasn't fought anyone on his level, I like Jacobs but I thought Quillin was going to knock him out, he doesn't have a chin and that worries me with him fighting a puncher, I think Eubank Jr. would win a few rounds against Golovkin and I really can't see Golovkin stopping him, I also think Canelo is the man to beat him

He never had as many good things to say about an opponent (he's amazing etc etc). I agree Canelo will likely put his lights out... but Jacobs and Eubanks would beat him up a bit even if they get stopped.
