    by Cliff Rold - In September 2010, it was announced that Bernard Hopkins would challenge Jean Pascal for the lineal light heavyweight title in what would be the first of two fights between the two. It seemed as good a time as any for a career retrospective. Hopkins was, then, 45 years old. A win seemed like a tough bet; his career continuing much longer win or lose, seemed even tougher.

        Just off the top of my head 4 guys that I have seen at my Advanced years Hopkins never in a day would have beat guys like Archie Moore ,Ezzard Charles ,Harold Johnson, Bob Foster, Mike Spinks, and even today Andre Ward. And of course the two Knockouts he would have suffered would have been against Carlos Monzon and the "only Sugar" Ray Robinson...
