This is what I don't get. Loeffler is on record this year saying the fight will be bigger than Lemieux/GGG and do better financially than GGG/Lemieux. But Loeffler wants to offer Jacobs only 200k more than Lemieux.

As to paragraph 1, GGG v Jacobs is the best fight GGG can make at MW right now, not GGG v another bum.

The $2 mil is $1 mil less than K2 willingly offered BJS. Not saying BJS is the same, but to expect Jacobs to start negotiating at a lower price point doesn't seem logical or rational.

Yes, I agree Jacobs is doing whatever he can to get the most he can. My problem with OP, you and others is you would never ask GGG to accept whatever Canelo offers yet you want Jacobs to take less and "be happy he is getting a GGG shot". You would never ask or expect GGG to negotiate the same way.

Whether we agree or disagree the purse bid is the last bit of leverage Jacobs and his team have to use so they are going to use it, same as any fighter would.

You can have it both ways .. because GGG would be the defending champion, putting his 3 world titles on the line, in BOTH fights.

As such, there is no reason to criticise people for applying different standards to Golovkin and Jacobs. They are in completely different situations.

Canelo shouldn't pay GGG anything, not one cent.

He should just cut the bullshit and agree to a fair split of the income from the fight, however much it generates, which seems to be all Golovkin is asking for.

I didnt say thats what he should do, I simply answered a question as to what UK fights would be financially feasible for GGG

Now with that being said, Im not 100% convinced that he will be able to fulfill his unification goal. From the historical perspective I hope he can, but with the nonsense from Saunders, Jacobs taking 6 months to negotiate a mandatory defense, an IBF mando coming up in the next few months and a potential WBC mando as well as the Canelo fight, I'm just not that optimistic that they can keep it all together.

and if they did ultimately get Degale in the next year or 2, it needs to be at 168

..... and Golovkin can only sell 97k PPV's..... so, how is it reasonable to suggest that a guy who cannot generate enough revenue to pay Jacobs more than "Quillin money", deserves more than 10mil for Canelo?
