mares is past it ever since gonzalez took his soul with that left hook from hell.only a matter of time before he loses. russell, santa cruz, valdez and frampton take him apart.

Mares is still young and hungry to beat some big names, he struggles against big punchers tough. I think he has more skills to beat Frampton than Santa Cruz, the problem with Mares when he fought Leo is that he tried to exchange punches the whole fight and he forgot about using his boxing abilities.

Would be interesting seeing what's going to happen in this division, many great fighters.

I was rooting for Mares but tbh before that knockdown it was a pretty even fight. The. Knockdown gave him the lead.

Garcia needs some props for that. Reminded Mares how good of a boxer he actually is. Mares has been a career warrior. Maybe him and Valdez can mix it up. Would be very entertaining

You must not know how to judge boxing if you think the fight was close going into the 11th round.
Mares was doing almost anything he wanted against cuellar and he was definitely ahead by at least 3 points.
It was a clear victory for Mares and if you think otherwise you must not know boxing very well.
